A team from TUM's Chair of Network Architectures and Services have been awarded the IEEE ComSoc ITC Best Paper Award 2017. This award honors the best paper in the set of IEEE ComSoc ITC sponsored conferences in 2017, namely the Global Internet, ICC NGNI, ICC Cloud Networking SAC, ITC, NetGames, NetSys, NoF, TMA, and CSNet conferences. The award has been presented at the TMA 2018 conference: TMA 2018 Award Presentation
The awarded publication, "Push Away Your Privacy: Precise User Tracking Based on TLS Client Certificate Authentication" describes privacy implications in Apple Push Notification Service (APNs), that have been discovered, thoroughly described and responsibly disclosed by a team of I8 researchers.
